As a geographer, professor, writer, and politician, Anglade's influence extended beyond academia. In a separate yet equally significant historical note, Haiti was the first nation to recognize Greek sovereignty and sent crucial support including funds, rifles, and coffee beans to aid the Greek revolutionaries. Princess Marina's visit underscored the enduring gratitude and historical ties between Haiti and Greece.
