CAP-HAITIEN — The mounting opposition to PM Ariel Henry is looking to install Judge Durin Junior Duret from the Court of Appeals as the head of a 3-member presidential council that also includes former senator and rebel leader Guy Philippe and Francoise Saint-vil Villier from the religious sector– National Spiritual Council of Churches (CONASPEH).

Duret, a judge appointed in 2014 to lead the investigation into crimes committed by former President-dictator Jean-Claude Duvalier, failed to submit a report of his work on the case since 2014, according to Avocats Sans Frontieres Canada.
