$125 million Allocated for Water and Sanitation in the North of Haiti

The North of Haiti will benefit from new drinking water supply system, better sanitation and hygiene through new $125 Million dollar Inter-American Development Bank Project .

Dominican Government Plans Formalization of Trade Deal with Haiti

Foreign Minister Miguel Vargas Maldonado announced that the government has sought to formalize a trade agreement with Haiti to eliminate the obstacles and irregular situations affecting trade relations between the two countries for years. This agreement could result in controlling restrictions imposed by the Haitian government on Dominican products and generate a viable trade flow. Minister Maldonado went on to say that a National Trade Negotiations Council had been set up by the Dominican Executive, an institutional body charged of providing advice on trade agreements that suited his country, Le Nouvelliste reports. Many Schools in Northern Haiti Are on Strike

Students of the National School of Morne Rouge (North) blocked the national road # 1 during December 4 and 5, 2018. They demanded the presence of teachers in the classrooms.
