The Mexican army began a training seminar on civil protection, human rights and gender equality in Haiti as part of the military collaboration between the two countries.

With the aim of sharing experiences, transmiting information and strengthening the bonds of brotherhood between both nations, representatives of the Mexican armed forces will debate for four days with their Caribbean counterparts, which will strengthen the army of the two States, as stated by Lieutenant Colonel Andres Calderon, a meteorologist graduated from the Mexican General Staff.

He also said that among other goals, stands out the development of Haiti's armed forces, reconstituted last November by President Jovenel Moise after 22 years without an army.

He pointed out that in terms of civil protection, Mexico faces several emergency situations and the military collaborates to ensure the lives of citizens and their assets, while providing bilateral support to other countries that experience similar conditions. Continue reading
